Overview of Our Services

We can provide independent psychiatric reports in relation to applications and appeals under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003. Our Psychiatrists have extensive experience of use of the Act and application of the Millan principles. We will provide expert evidence addressing the necessary legal criteria. 

Our Psychiatrists are experienced in carrying out assessments of capacity and can provide medical reports in relation to orders under the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000, including reports for Guardianship Orders and Intervention Orders.

We provide specialist expertise in Forensic Psychiatry, with reports being provided by a fully qualified and experienced Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist. We can provide opinions on a range of relevant matters including fitness for trial, criminal responsibility, requirement for further psychiatric assessment/treatment and disposals.

Our Psychiatrists can provide expert psychiatric reports for occupational health purposes at the request of occupational health professionals.
